Training and Education
As well as the public and private sector we believe all veterans with physical, mental or social injury or simply needing support to gain skills and qualifications necessary to develop new careers outside the military, providing accommodation and care. To re-intergrate into society and provide long-term security for themselves and their familes
Health and Safety Consultancy
Looking for specialist health and safety help for your business? Deciding exactly what help you need is very important. Unless you are clear at this stage, you probably won’t get the help you really need.
Am I able to deal with it myself?
You probably already deal with most issues yourself, with the help of your staff, and develop the necessary expertise in-house. You should try to do the same for health and safety - managing it is good for your business.
If I call on specialist help what, exactly, do I need it to do?
Some things you may not be able to do for yourself. A clear understanding and explanation to the specialist help is essential, for it to give you what you really need.
Will the specialist help be good enough to solve my particular problem?
Is there evidence of relevant training/knowledge, such as formal qualifications? Does the specialist help have practical experience of your industry/activities?
Can they explain to you why they are competent to advise you on this particular problem? Is the specialist help a member of a professional body? If you are in any doubt, you can check with the professional body what training/knowledge and qualifications are relevant, and on the specialist help’s membership.
Have I made it clear to the specialist help exactly what I want from them?
And do you think they understand? Ask them to explain what they understand the work is and what they will do, when and at what cost.
Have I shopped around to find the right help at the right price?
If you were buying new computers you wouldn’t just accept the first offer you see, so why do it with health and safety advice? You also need to check that the help is adequately insured.
Have I received the help I needed?
Have they made sure you’ve understood their recommendations and dealt with any questions you had about implementing them?

Sale on CHAS!
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK.
In partnership with the Association of London Government (ALG), CHAS was a key developer of the core criteria held in the Approved Code of Practice which supported the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recogonised as CDM 2015) and is a founder member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). As one of the founders of third party accreditation we are not only a trusted advisor on health and safety compliance, we are an authority. We set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance, and offer best-in-class servic that are easy to use and cost effective.
This health and safety legislation was created to achieve the following aims:
- To simplify health and safety contractor assessment by standardising requirements.
- To allow companies to avoid undergoing health and safety assessments for every job.
What is CHAS?
The CHAS health and safety assessment scheme is a pre-approval scheme to allow contractors to show potential clients that they meet the required health and safety standards.
The main purpose of CHAS is to avoid repeated applications by suppliers and contractors to become approved as local authority suppliers and to improve health and safety in small to medium sized businesses. Whilst the CHAS assessment scheme is a local authority and government backed scheme, it can be used by any organisation looking to short list suppliers and contractors and can save time and money for all parties.
How do I become CHAS approved?
Compliance Health and Safety can provide you with the expert knowledge and documentation to complete your CHAS application.
The majority of 'consultants' provide just desktop support. CHAS are clearly irritated by these 'consultants' which generally end in applications being rejected. See the CHAS website statement.
Compliance Health and Safety will review your current documents and attend sites to make sure the documents are relevant to the work to be undertaken. Compliance Health and Safety will ensure you achieve your accreditation by doing the work for you. We have a 100% success rate with all companies that work with us.
Our high success rate does not mean you have to pay high prices for any accreditations.
What is Safecontractor?
Safecontractor was initially developed as a bespoke project for a Property Management client who wished to outsource the annual vetting of contractors on its approved list. Interest shown by other similar clients identified the potential for a standardised system that could be offered to the whole of the company's client base.
In 1999 SupplyLine was born. After further development the product was expanded to provide web based access to its clients and was re-branded as Safecontractor in 2003.
Steady growth and the adoption of the system by some major brand names such as Kellogg, Debenhams Retail Plc, Home Retail Group and General Motors UK, saw entry into new client markets and further growth in contractor members.
